U.S. Marshals say Linares is a suspected gang member who was previously deported by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Officers arrested Linares during a traffic stop after tracking him down in Euclid. They say he was taken into custody without incident.
“We will continue to work with our partners to focus on violent criminals who are also in this country illegally. Today, a violent fugitive in possession of a handgun was put in jail and our community is safer,” said U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott in a news release.
Investigators say they found Linares with a loaded handgun and suspected meth.
