WEST CHESTER, Butler County — The Butler County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad was called to the West Chester Fire Headquarters after someone dropped off two “military projectiles.”

The items were found in a bag at the headquarters at 9119 Cincinnati Dayton Road on Monday, according to Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones.

The bomb squad quickly secured both projectiles for further testing and disposal.
Jones said both projectiles are 40 millimeters, one is from the United States and the other is from France.
“Our Bomb Squad responds to several incidents a year that require very steady hands,” Jones said on social media.
