DANGEROUS COLD: Coldest morning with air temperatures, wind chills below zero

MIAMI VALLEY — The Miami Valley is dealing with the coldest air seen during this frigid stretch.

A Cold Weather Advisory continues for the whole region until 10 a.m. this morning.

Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Britley Ritz continues to TRACK the bitter cold. She has the latest on when we could see a warm-up LIVE this morning on News Center 7 Daybreak starting at 4:25 a.m.

TRENDING STORIES:

Actual air temperatures are between -5 and -10 degrees across the region.

Ritz says wind chills are as low as -25. It is drying with mostly clear sky temperatures.

We will continue to see very cold temperatures throughout the morning with chills between -15 and -20, according to Ritz.

The wind chills will improve to above zero by this afternoon. We will see sunny skies with air temperatures nearing 20 degrees.

After another cold start on Thursday, Ritz says temperatures should hit the upper 20s and lower 30s.

The good news is that above-freezing temps are expected by Saturday.
