A heat advisory is in effect for the entire Miami Valley beginning at noon Monday through 8 PM Thursday.
A FLOOD WATCH is in effect until 11 AM Saturday for Butler, Warren and Clinton County.
We could see showers and storms with heavy rain to start the weekend.
The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has the Miami Valley under a level 1 of 5 which is a marginal risk for severe storms.
We will see active weather return to the Miami Valley over the next few days.
A massive ridge of high pressure is setting up across the heart of the United States and the Miami Valley will tap into its effects.
An area of low pressure is developing to our west and will bring rain and storm chances througout the latter part of the week and into the weekend.
Let’s start by saying there will be plenty of dry time. The first wave is already moving out of the Valley.
The main event will come late Sunday and into Monday morning.
We will continue to see cooler-than-normal temperatures this weekend.
