The city said WPAFB’s Gate 1-B along Springfield Street will increase access to traffic.
Riverside officials said on Facebook that the gate will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to both inbound and outbound traffic.
“Delays are expected at the gate,” officials said.
They reminded drivers of other gates, 19B and 22B, that can be used to gain access to Area B at WPAFB.
The 88th Air Base Wing said on Facebook these traffic control measures at Gate 22B (Interstate 675 access) will be in place starting today. It will only be in effect during morning drive (6 am-9 am).
“In preparation for this change, we ask that you plan your morning route accordingly and familiarize yourself with alternative routes to your work center. If you are forced to use a particular lane or route that you normally do not use, please make sure you know how to navigate to your destination,” they said.
