DAYTON — A woman has been sentenced to 18 months in prison and her driver’s license has been suspended for five years after she was found guilty for one felony count of vehicular homicide, according to court documents.

Stephanie Dill pleaded guilty Dec. 12 in the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

As previously reported by News Center 7, Riverside Police and medics responded to a two-vehicle crash on Feb. 18 in the area of State Route 4 and Harshman Road.
Dill was driving a 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz southeast on Harshman Road but did not stop at a red light and hit the driver’s side door of a 2019 Nissan Altima, the crash report said.
The Nissan was turning onto Harshman Road from the northbound exit ramp of State Route 4.
Leonard La Poma, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His online obituary says he served his country as a vehicle mechanic in the U.S. Army for 22 years. He was also a longtime member of the VFW 657 in Riverside.

Dill’s license was suspended at the time of the crash, the report states. Medics transported her to Miami Valley Hospital with minor injuries.
Two children were taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital for possible injuries.
