DARKE COUNTY — A 28-year-old woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Darke County Saturday morning, according to a spokesperson for the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred in the 2200 block of Gettysburg-Pitsburg Road, just north of State Route 49, around 8:45 a.m.

A preliminary investigation found that the 28-year-old woman was driving a Honda HR-V north on Gettysburg-Pitsburg Road at the time of the crash.
The driver went off the right side of the road and crashed head-on into a tree, according to the spokesperson.
Medics took the woman to Miami Valley North for her injuries. It is unclear how serious her injuries are.
Initial reports indicated the driver was ejected, but the sheriff’s office confirmed she was not.
The spokesperson said deputies believe the driver was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
