The video shows state troopers conduct the traffic stop on a Chevrolet Blazer carrying four men on Interstate 70 in Clark County on Jan. 10 shortly after they were seen leaving a La Quinta Hotel in Fairborn. The men involved have been identified as Jordan Francisco Sanchez, 22; Alexander Esteban Huaiquil-Chavez, 24; Bastian Alejandro Morales, 23; and Sergio Andres Cabello, 38.

As reported on News Center 7 at 5:00, an investigation report obtained by New Center 7 revealed that state troopers were assisting Homeland Security and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation agents with an investigation stemming from recent home burglaries.

Agents along with a state trooper followed the SUV from the hotel to I-70 in Clark County, where the trooper pulled them over for an alleged traffic infraction.

The video shows the men providing troopers with their IDs. As previously reported, three of the four men reportedly presented fake identification cards.

The video also shows troopers searching the vehicle and finding a Louisiana State University (LSU) t-shirt. They also found a tool used to break into homes inside a hidden compartment inside the glove box.

Other stolen items were also found in the SUV.

TRENDING STORIES:

As News Center 7 reported Tuesday, the LSU shirt and a Cincinnati Bengals hat found in the Blazer were believed to be stolen during a burglary in Hamilton County on December 9, 2024. While they have not confirmed if these men are connected to the burglary at Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s home, he did attend LSU and his Hamilton County home was broken into on December 9, 2024, according to a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office report.

A special agent working the case recognized Morales as a person possibly involved in a Hamilton County burglary on Dec. 9, according to a probable cause affidavit. Two days after the burglary, Morales was allegedly seen on surveillance video at a McDonald’s in Miami, Florida exiting a Volkswagen Atlas known to be in the area of the burglary on Dec. 9.

Chavez was also seen walking out of the La Quinta with a duffle bag similar to one also seen exiting that Volkswagen Atlas in Miami on Dec. 11.

After being taken into custody, three of the four men allegedly lied about their identities again and told investigators they were in Ohio “for vacation to see the snow.”

Chavez reportedly admitted to buying the glass-breaking but would not give a reason why, according to court records.

Investigators say the four men arrested are in the U.S. illegally and that, as a result of that, on top of the criminal charges against them, they’re also facing possible deportation.

News Center 7 reached out to the Attorney General’s Office who could not confirm if these suspects are directly connected to the break-in at Burrow’s house.

All four men were indicted by a Clark County grand jury on charges of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, participating in a criminal gang, and possessing criminal tools on Tuesday. They’re expected to appear in court later this week.
