UPDATE: Power mostly restored after outages across Miami Valley

MIAMI VALLEY — UPDATE @ 3:45 p.m.

Power has been mostly restored after hundreds of people were without power across the region early Wednesday morning.

As of 3:39 a.m., approximately 369 AES Ohio customers are without power, according to an outage map.

Customers in the following counties who have reported outages:

  • Clinton County- 109
  • Preble County- 153
  • Greene County -5
  • Montgomery County- 15
  • Logan County- 30

Almost 1,900 AES Ohio customers were without power just before 1 a.m. on Wednesday.

As previously reported by News Center 7, a problem with an AES substation caused an outage Tuesday night.

According to Mary Ann Kabel, director of corporate communications, the outage impacted customers in Huber Heights, Vandalia, and Tipp City.

AES Ohio posted on social media that 10,000 customers had no power in the Vandalia and Huber Heights area.

The AES Ohio outage map shows power has been mainly restored in those areas.
