As reported on News Center 7 Daybreak, Harrison Township firefighters responded around 3:45 a.m. to the 4100 block of Camargo Drive on reports of an apartment fire.

This is at the Meadows of Catalpa Apartments.

News Center 7′s Xavier Hershovitz said flames tore through the apartment complex and a lot of smoke continued to come through the building.

Harrison Township Fire Battalion Chief Seth Dodds said crews had to evacuate the building due to fire conditions.

“We were able to search about 22 apartments, 10 are affected by the fire,” he said.

Dodds did not know how many people were forced from their apartments. They are working with the Red Cross to help the affected residents.

News Center 7 obtained a 911 call through a public records request of a female claiming to dispatchers that her boyfriend set her clothes on fire.

“My boyfriend is sending me pictures of setting my clothes on fire,” the caller said.

“Okay, you said your boyfriend is setting (your) clothes on fire?” the dispatcher asked.

“Yes.”

News Center 7 has not confirmed that information with Harrison Township firefighters or the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The fire remains under investigation.
