DAYTON — A University of Dayton men’s basketball freshman has won a weekly honor by the Atlantic 10 for the second time this season.

Dayton plays the first of two road games tonight at St. Bonaventure. Pregame coverage starts at 7 p.m. and tipoff is at 8 p.m. on WHIO Radio. The game will also be broadcast here at WHIO.com.

Amaël L’Etang was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for his play in Dayton’s two wins over Duquesne and Saint Joseph’s last week.
He averaged 15.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in two games.
L’Etang shot 52 percent (12-23) from the field and 33 percent (4-12) from three-point range.
ESPN’s College GameDay anointed him its “Frenchman of the Week.” They also showed his game-winning alley-oop layup against Loyola Chicago on Jan. 18.
The Flyers have won three straight games since moving L’Etang into the starting lineup.
