The family, who did not want to be identified, bought a house on Beachwood Ave in Pine Lawn Missouri, and enjoyed living there until a female neighbor assaulted the husband a few months ago, CBS affiliate KMOV reported.
The family believes the woman may have mental health problems.

“They’re terrified they’re going to get hurt. They have to sleep in shifts now. I’m really scared for them,” a spokesperson for the family, who also wished to remain anonymous, said.
After the first attack, the family found a voodoo doll on the front porch surrounded by rat poison.
Their dog had to be rushed to the vet after it ate rat poison that had been thrown in the front yard, KMOV reported.
In December, surveillance cameras captured a man walking around to the back of the house where an explosive device was set off.
The explosion blew the handle off of the back door, KMOV reported.
Last week, the same man was captured on security cameras lighting something on fire and dropping it on one of the cars in the driveway. One car was destroyed and a second was damaged.
“They’re looking to move, because who could live there if they’re setting your house on fire and putting bombs on your house,” the spokesperson said.
The North County Police Cooperative is investigating the incidents. A spokesperson told KMOV that investigators are taking this very seriously.
“Our investigators are aggressively investigating the matters at hand. It’s still an ongoing investigation at this time,” North County Police Cooperative Corporal Benjamin Santoyo said.
