Greene County Educational Service Center (ESC) Superintendent Terry Graves-Strieter sent the following statement to News Center 7:

“The individual in question has not been employed by the Greene County ESC since January 30, 2025. The Greene County ESC has no further comments so as to avoid any possibility of interference with the judicial process.”

Jan. 30 is just days after police said an assault happened in front of the child’s school and on a bus as he was getting ready to come home that afternoon.

“We’re doing all right, hanging in there. We’ve been working on getting Nathan some specialized therapy,” Dustin Jackson said.

Jackson said his 8-year-old son who has autism and is non-verbal, Nathan, is working on his emotional recovery.

TRENDING STORIES:

Prosecutors say he was assaulted while he was on the Fairborn City Schools bus that takes him to and from his home in Fairborn to the Greene County Educational Service Center school in Bellbrook.

As News Center 7 previously reported, a Greene County Grand Jury indicted Tenyetta Olinger, a former teacher’s aide at Nathan’s school, on charges of assault and endangering children.

“I was relieved. You know, it was a small step in the right direction,” Dustin said.

According to the police report, a teacher’s aide told an officer that Olinger allegedly grabbed the boy’s wrist, then lifted him by his harness straps and “muscled” him into the seat.

The aide continued and said Olinger threw the child “into his seat with such force that he struck his head his head against the window and cried out in pain,” the report read.

Police said bus cameras caught the crime on video.

“They recommended we not see it right now because it’s pretty disturbing,” Dustin said.

News Center 7′s John Bedell went to Olinger’s home looking for comment..

But no one answered the door — and court records show she doesn’t have a lawyer yet.

Dustin has photos of Nathan the day of the alleged assault. He had a black eye and a swollen knot on his forehead.

Nathan’s recovered physically and is back to riding the bus.

Dustin said settling back into his routine has also helped his son.

News Center 7 reached out to Fairborn City Schools since police said this happened on one of their buses.

The district said student safety is their top priority and they are cooperating with the investigation.

Olinger wasn’t arrested but is due in court for the first time next month.

We will continue to follow this story.
