HAMILTON COUNTY — UPDATE @ 4:17 p.m.:
A man is dead after a shooting on Interstate 71 in Hamilton County on Thursday afternoon.

The Hamilton County Coroner confirmed to WCPO that a 22-year-old man was shot and killed in a vehicle while traveling on northbound I-71.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies found one man who had been shot by someone in another vehicle. That man was taken to a Cincinnati hospital, where he later died.
WCPO reported that three people were inside the victim’s car when the shots were fired.
At this time, deputies do not have a motive for the shooting.
Northbound lanes have been closed since around 1:45 p.m. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office told WCPO that they would be shut down “for at least a couple of hours.”
The shooting remains under investigation.
