The same people also went through cars and stole a car in Tipp City, according to the sheriff’s office.

“Youth from the Dayton area have been targeting plats that are close to I-75 in attempts to steal autos and items from autos that are left unlocked,” the post said.

The incidents continue even though several arrests have been made in the past.

The sheriff’s office asks community members to keep all of their cars locked, bring all valuable items into their homes, and turn on exterior lighting at night.

Deputies will increase patrols in the neighborhoods that have been impacted.
