DAYTON — Several firefighters have responded to a fire in downtown Dayton on Saturday.

Dayton Fire Department crews were called to 15 S Saint Clair Street on reports of a fire at 10:30 a.m.

Reports indicate that crews saw smoke coming from the fourth floor when they arrived on scene, however the building’s automatic sprinkler system had already put out the fire, according to the fire department.
The estimated damage to the building is $30,000, according to the fire department.
The Fire Investigations Unit determined the cause to be an accidental cooking fire.
