Several CSX train crossings closed today for railroad work in parts of the Miami Valley

CSX train crossings in Dayton and Troy will be closed starting today, according to both cities’ Facebook pages.

The work is expected to begin as early as dawn and last for most of the day.

Washington Street between Cincinnati Street and Germantown Street will be closed at the railroad crossing.

Broadway Street south of Stewart Street will also be shut down at the railroad crossing, according to the post.

In Troy CSX train crossings will be closed from today until September 30.

The railroad crossings that will be closed for work are located at:

• Dakota Street
• Union Street
• North Market Street
• East Water Street
• Franklin Street
• Dye Mill Road

Residents are encouraged to give themselves extra time for travel to use marked detours around these areas, the spokesperson said.
