Cynthia Schwartz has lived in Huber Heights her whole life.
She has been vocal in recent city meetings about her frustration with overcrowding.
“I would say at least 10,000 new residents in the coming ten years, just with what we already have planned as it’s going to be a lot on these roads,” Schwartz said.

Earlier this month the Huber Heights Planning Commission approved the development of more than 100 lots for a new subdivision Carriage Trails II.
They’re expecting to start construction in March on 46 acres of vacant land, next to Carriage Trails I.
Shwartz said the recent development and the rising population are already affecting schools.
“They have been having to teach in trailers and that’s not the ideal situation for students. They’re going to be facing a lot more challenges than that,” she said.
Shwartz said she feels things are happening too fast, and some smaller details may not be as well thought out.
“The buses have to lay on their horns and wait for somebody to come out of the house to move their car that’s parked on the street because there’s another car parked on the street,” Shwartz.
Frustration began when Huber Heights Annexed land from Bethel Township in July.
Shwartz said she started a petition to put the annexation on the ballot earlier this year.
It got a thousand signatures but it wasn’t enough and the decision was left to the city.
We will continue to follow this story.
