RIVERSIDE — Police are investigating a shooting in Riverside as a homicide.

Police and medics responded to the 4700 block of Opperman Avenue shortly before 3 p.m. on reports of a shooting.

News Center 7 crews on the scene reported that police had part of the street blocked off with crime scene tape.
Major Angela Jackson, with Riverside Police, confirmed the shooting was being investigated as a homicide.
“There is one victim and one suspect,” Jackson said.
Online jail records show that Halle Harvey was arrested by Riverside police in the 4700 block of Opperman Avenue on suspicion of murder.
The shooting remains under investigation.
