DAYTON — One person was taken to the hospital after a shooting at a Dayton gas station Tuesday evening, according to Dayton Police Department Lieutenant Jeffrey Thomas.

The shooting was reported at the QuikTrip gas station at 2121 Edwin C Moses Boulevard around 7:18 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found one male in the driver’s seat of a car with a gunshot to the face, according to Thomas.
Medics took the victim to a local hospital, where he is currently in surgery.
Doctors are working to determine how serious his injuries are.
Thomas told News Center 7 that police took a suspect into custody around 10 p.m. News Center 7 is working to learn the suspect’s identity.
The shooting remains under investigation.
