DAYTON — A building was damaged after a car crashed into it in Dayton early Sunday morning, according to a Dayton Police Department crash report.

The crash occurred in the 100 block of Riverside Drive just before 2 a.m.

A 26-year-old man was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix north on Riverside Drive when the crash occurred, according to the report.
A preliminary investigation found that the man was driving “apparently at an excessive rate of speed” and lost control.
According to the report, the car went over the curb and crashed into the building.
News Center 7 crews were on scene and saw a large hole in the building.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash, according to the report.
No one was injured in this crash.
The report indicates that the driver was cited for operating a motor vehicle without being in reasonable control.
