A Franklin police officer patrolling the Pilot Travel Center at 6830 Franklin Lebanon Road ran a fictitious registration tag on a car.

TRENDING STORIES:

The officer followed the 35-year-old driver onto Interstate 75 North after he left the lot.

Pacifico said the officer re-ran the tag before trying to pull the car over.

The driver reportedly took off at a high rate of speed soon after.

The man got off the interstate at Austin Boulevard but crashed into a pole at the SR-741 intersection, Pacifico said.

He allegedly got out of the car and ran away on foot.

Pacifico said Springboro police officers caught up to the man behind the Connor Group building, at 10510 N Springboro Pike, and arrested him.

He was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.

The 35-year-old is on parole for running from authorities in Harrison Township, Pacifico said.

Franklin police, Springboro police, and Miami Township police were all spotted on scene of the crash.

No one was injured in this chase.

Online jail records indicate Stephen Reynolds was arrested at the scene. He is booked in the Warren County Jail on a felony count of failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer. Bond has been set at $50,000.
