‘The perfect Paris proposal;’ Former Dayton Flyer, fiancée celebrate engagement

PARIS — A former University of Dayton men’s basketball star is getting married.

Former Dayton Flyer All-American Obi Toppin proposed to his girlfriend, Magdalena Bellinger, in Paris Tuesday and she said yes!

The couple shared the news on Instagram with some photos.

The couple shared the news on Instagram with some photos.

“Forever with you,” Mag wrote.

Toppin is a forward for the Indiana Pacers. The team celebrated the couple’s engagement on social media.

“The perfect Paris proposal,” the team said. “Congratulations to Obi Toppin and his fiancée Mag on their engagement!”

The Pacers are playing two games in Paris against the San Antonio Spurs.

The first game is today at 2 p.m. EST.

The two teams meet again on Saturday, Jan. 25, at noon EST.
