News Center 7′s Xavier Hershovits met with Ohio State fans who are already making their way to Atlanta for Monday’s game.

TRENDING STORIES:

Shannon Carroll has been a Buckeye since birth, he says.

“Day one. Born and raised in Columbus,” Carroll said.

Carroll has a ticket to Monday’s game.

“As soon as we won, we were all sitting there and my friend booked 10 tickets for us,” Carroll said.

Howard Fulton from Illinois attended Ohio State for one year in the 1980s and met with News Center 7 in Atlanta.

“I was going to Ohio State, and I went there for one year, decided I was going to come back and take care of my wife and family and everything,” Fulton said.

But just because Fulton left Ohio State doesn’t mean the experience ever left him.

“I have always been a Buckeye fan. Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye,” Fulton said.

Fulton told News Center 7 he isn’t in Atlanta for the National Championship game, he’s actually there to work. But that doesn’t mean he won’t be watching the game.

“I’m working the volleyball tournament,” Fulton said. “If [Ohio State is playing] in Atlanta, I’m staying.”

Fulton doesn’t have a ticket and isn’t sure where he will be watching the game, but that doesn’t matter to him.

“It was on my bucket list. I always wanted to see them win a national championship,” Fulton said.

That’s something Fulton and Carroll have in common.

“I would say this is definitely on the bucket list of things to do for sure,” Carroll said.
