“I fully support President Trump’s move to impose tariffs on Mexico and Canada. Both countries have failed to protect America from drug trafficking and illegal migration. Ohio is open for business and will roll out the red carpet for any company manufacturing in America,” Moreno said.

The Ohio Democratic Party is against the tariffs, saying the repercussions will fall on working class families. The Ohio democrats say the tariffs are going to raise the cost of living, specifically effecting the prices of groceries and gas.
“While Donald Trump tries to look tough, real families in Ohio are stuck paying the price for his reckless policies,” said Ohio Democratic Party spokeswoman Katie Seewer. “Ohioans are already struggling to make ends meet after years of failed leadership from Republicans in state government. Instead of delivering the help he promised, Donald Trump hit them with another tax.”
