DAYTON — UPDATE @ 11:50 a.m.:

A 34-year-old woman is dead after a shooting in Dayton Monday morning.

Dayton Police and medics responded around 2:20 a.m. to the 2900 block of Millicent Avenue on reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived they found a 34-year-old woman dead, according to Lt. Steven Bauer with DPD.

A 32-year-old man was taken into custody, police said.

At least one person is dead after a shooting in Dayton Monday morning.

As reported on News Center 7 Daybreak, Dayton Police and medics responded around 2:20 a.m. to the 2900 block of Millicent Avenue on reports of a shooting.

Photos and video from the scene show a house surrounded by caution tape.

Officers cleared the scene just before 6 a.m.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office confirmed to News Center 7 they responded to the scene.

Fletcher saw the coroner’s van remove a body on a stretcher.

Officers also told him they responded to a shooting and were following leads.” They added they would have more information about the shooting later today.
