DAYTON — Multiple injuries were reported after a crash in Dayton on Thursday morning.

Dayton officers and medics were dispatched around 7:48 a.m. to the intersection of Edgewood Avenue and Broadway Street on reports of a crash, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

News Center 7 spoke to Dayton Police Sergeant Creigee S. Coleman at the scene. He confirmed that when crews got to the scene, it appeared two people were trapped in one of the vehicles.
The two people trapped were able to be freed from the vehicle and were taken to an area hospital. They’re said to be in stable condition, according to Coleman.
Witnesses told police the at-fault driver went over the center line and that was what caused the crash.
The at-fault driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Coleman said speed and impairment may have been factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
