As News Center 7 previously reported, the teacher, who hasn’t been charged at the time and therefore is not being named, is a middle school teacher at the Richard Allen School District in Dayton.

They were placed on administrative leave this week, the district confirmed.

Toniey Tillman was shocked to get a call Monday afternoon notifying her of this.

She spoke with her 11-year-old daughter and said what she learned about how the male teacher interacted with her daughter upset her.

Tillman said her daughter alleged the inappropriate activities include “long hugs from behind, public displays of affection in the cafeteria” and “forcing her to tell him ‘I love you.”

Tillman said once she learned that, she wanted to school to do more but remembered she was informed the school would turn the investigation over to police.

A Dayton police report confirmed officers “were sent to the school around 12:30 Monday on the report of a sex offense complaint.”

Superintendent Michelle Bozemna told News Center 7 that they “placed a middle school teacher on administrative leave pending an investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct with students.”

Tillman worries several more students may have also experienced the alleged inappropriate conduct.

We will continue to follow this story and update if any charges are filed.
