Semi crash leads to large fire in Clark County (Eric Higgenbotham)

CLARK COUNTY — A crash between a semi and SUV led to a large fire in Clark County on Thursday morning.

The crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. on State Route 41 near the on-ramp to Interstate 70.

The crash involved a semi, which was empty, and an SUV.

Springfield Twp. Fire Department Deputy Chief James Allen told News Center 7 that the driver of the SUV had minor injuries. The driver of the semi refused treatment.

Deputies have shut down SR 41 in the area.
