MIAMI TOWNSHIP — A man was hospitalized after crashing his car in Miami Township, according to the Miami Valley Fire District.

Friday morning, a 63-year-old man lost consciousness while driving on Springboro Pike near Dahlia Drive, according to the police report.

The man then crossed over the southbound lanes of SR-471 and hit the guard rail, the report says.
The crash injured the man, and he was taken to a local hospital while his vehicle was towed from the scene, the report says.
Responding crews shut down one of the northbound lanes while they investigated and cleared the scene.
