AUGLAIZE COUNTY — A pharmacy with locations in the northern Miami Valley is closing after over 100 years of business.

All Schwieterman Pharmacies and Compounding Center locations will close their doors tomorrow, Dec. 31.

“The current climate of community pharmacy does not allow us to continue to serve you,” owners wrote in a social media post.
The pharmacy, which has been in business since 1916, has locations in Auglaize and Mercer counties.
All prescriptions Schwieterman Pharmacies have been transferred to other pharmacies.
“We want to thank patients and customers for their patronage over the 108 years of doing business,” owners said.
