The kitten requires close attention due to a recent neutering surgery and ongoing inner ear infection, the humane society says. He is black and white, wearing a blue collar with a silver AFHS tag and a yellow microchip tag.

TRENDING STORIES:

The person who took the kitten is in custody, the humane society says, but they are giving conflicting stories on where the kitten is.

The person may have given the kitten away, the humane society says.

“If this is the case, we urge that person to return the kitten to us immediately during our open hours, no questions asked,” the humane society said in a social media post.

The person has also claimed that the kitten was let go in a Walmart parking lot, according to the humane society.

“Both Middletown Police and Animal Control have been searching the Walmart area and the vicinity of the suspect’s residence,” the humane society said in their post. “Despite their efforts, the kitten is still missing.”

The kitten has already been adopted, according to the humane society, and they are trying to get him to his home.

The Animal Friends Humane Society asks anyone with information to contact Animal Control Officer Hearlihy immediately at 513-320-5240.
