TIMING:
The upcoming snowfall is expected to arrive late Friday afternoon and evening, according to Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Britley Ritz.
She says we will see snow on the radar late morning and early afternoon, as the air is too dry. A lot of the snow will evaporate before reaching the ground.
Ritz says we should expect to see it after 3 p.m. The heaviest snow still looks to fall after 5 p.m.
IMPACTS:
Total accumulations range from two to four inches across the region.
Some isolated areas in our most southwest counties could see up to five inches of snow, Ritz states.
A Winter Weather Advisory takes effect Friday. If this storm overperforms a bit, an upgrade to a winter storm warning is possible.
Our Storm Center 7 team of meteorologists continues to monitor this system.
We will continue to follow this story.
