Dayton fire crews were called to reports of a large vehicle leaking an unknown liquid onto I-75 at approximately 9:28 p.m., according to Dayton Fire Department Assitant Chief Brad French.

When crews arrived on scene, they found a stopped semi-truck with a trailer that was slowly leaking fluid.
Firefighters closed traffic on the interstate in both directions to investigate the hazard, according to French.
Dayton Regional Hazardous Materials Team was called to the scene shortly after.
French said crews determined the fluid was liquid nitrogen.
“HazMat crews evaluated potential environmental impacts and current atmospheric conditions around the trailer, determining that there was a minimal risk posed by this slow leak,” French said.
The semi was moved out of the interstate onto a nearby off-ramp so a private contractor could investigate further.
The interstate reopened shortly after.
No injuries were reported on scene of this leak, French said.
