A popular fabric and crafts retailer is warning that layoffs are possible for more than 1,000 of its employees.

The Ohio-based company said it may close facilities in Hudson and West Jefferson, according to WARN notices filed with the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.
It would impact a total of 1,137 employees, according to the filing.

As News Center 7 previously reported, Joann has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy for a second time within a year due to financial and inventory issues.
The company previously said stores will remain open for now and team members will continue to receive pay and benefits.
