“I tried to enter and it was all smashed and the glass all over the place,” Kyung Yu said.
Yu is one of the church’s leaders. She walked News Center 7 through the damage on Tuesday.
“It’s disturbing,” she said.
Church members believe this damage was caused by bricks from the walkway.
“Two policemen look around and didn’t find anything taken, I didn’t find anything. So the only thing, is that we thought someone hit the brick from the outside,” Yu said.
Church leaders are still assessing the damage while Kettering police continue their investigation.
Yu said she and four other church members cleaned up the broken glass and repaired one door with plastic.
Despite the damaged property, church members still gathered for Christmas services.
“All these broken things can be repaired. I was so thankful. We had a warm sanctuary in there, and we all got together, and then we worshipped the Lord,” Yu said.
A spokesperson from the Kettering Police Department told News Center 7 that there are no suspects in this incident.
