Man dead after motorcycle crash in Huber Heights

HUBER HEIGHTS — The motorcycle operator killed in a crash Thursday night in the 8100 block of Bellefontaine Road in Huber Heights was a 48-year-old male, police said.

The name of the driver, who was not wearing a helmet, is being withheld until the family can be notified, Sgt. Josh Fosnight told News Center 7.

Huber Heights police were dispatched to the address on Bellefontaine Road, near The Party Barn, about 6:55 p.m. according to Huber Heights Police dispatch. According to scanner communications, the Harley Davidson was found in grass across from the venue and police shut down the road for the investigation, which is being continued by the police department’s Crash Reconstruction Team.

Officers arriving on scene, along with Huber Heights medics, found the motorcycle operator deceased, according to the police department’s statement. He was taken to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

Neither drugs nor alcohol is suspected at this time, the sergeant said.
