A former teacher, who wished to remain anonymous, told News Center 7 she witnessed concerning behavior.
“He’s giving the younger girls very long hugs, letting the girls in between his legs, rubbing on their shoulders,” she said.
The woman said she was told other teachers brought the concerns to administrators.
She reached out to police a few weeks after her position at the school was eliminated as part of a cost-cutting measure.
“This just can’t keep going on. There’s too many inappropriate things going on in the school,” she said.
News Center 7 confirmed Dayton police went to the school Monday, to investigate a complaint.
School leaders told us they “placed a middle school teacher on administrative leave pending an investigation into allegations in inappropriate conduct with students.”
The former teacher couldn’t help but worry about the students.
“They’re being groomed without kind of realizing they’re being groomed,” she said.
We will continue to follow this investigation.
