COLUMBUS — A man was charged after he reportedly threw a hammer through a Columbus fire station window and injured a firefighter.

Around 1:05 a.m. Saturday 38-year-old Antjuan Mitchell threw a hammer through a Columbus Police Firehouse, our news partners WBNS-10 TV reported.

The hammer broke through a window and struck a firefighter in the face, according to Franklin County Municipal Court records.
The firefighter sustained cuts to her face, a gash on her lip, and loose teeth, WBNS-10 TV reported.
Mitchell reportedly left the area but was apprehended a short time later, records say.
He is charged with assault, WBNS-10 TV reported.
Mitchell is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
