“Seeing how excited the players are, the coaches are, that’s what’s been exciting to see,” Paul Keels the voice of the Buckeyes said.
Keels has been the voice of the Buckeyes for 27 years, and this is his sixth national championship he’ll broadcast for them.
“It is exciting,” Keels said. “But every game, every chance to do this, is exciting.”
News Center 7 got an inside look at the Mercedes Benz Stadium as both teams practiced ahead of tomorrow’s game.
“Both teams are playing really well right now, especially defensively,” Keels said. “It’s two big brand names, that’s what’s really exciting about it.”
ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit is also part of the television broadcast team. He says this matchup is special.
“I love it,” Herbstreit said. “Having these two big brands makes it even that much more enjoyable.”
Herbstreit has called every national championship game since 2009.
“I put my life into this, as far as my preparation. Just love to just see how it all unfolds,” Herbstreit said. “I’ve called so many big Ohio State games over the years. It’s a blast.”
