DAYTON — The West branch of the Dayton Metro Library held a dedication Saturday in honor of activist Joe Madison.

Madison passed away on Jan. 31, 2024. He is remembered for his “steadfast dedication to history, human and civil rights, voting rights and radio broadcasting,” the library says.

The Tech Studio of the West branch is now named in Joe Madison’s honor.
Madison was born in Dayton, Ohio on June 16,1949, and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1967.
