Dayton breaks 108-year-old snowfall record Wednesday, NWS says

DAYTON — The National Weather Service says a snowfall record was set in Dayton Wednesday.

Five inches of snow was recorded in Dayton, setting a new daily maximum snowfall record for the city.

The previous record was set in 1915 when 4.9 inches of snow was recorded, according to NWS.

A winter storm brought some measurable snowfall to parts of the Miami Valley. You can see some of the snow totals from around the area here.
