Two adults had exited the house and were found on the roof. Firefighters rescued them.

Crews attempted to complete interior searches of the home under dangerous fire conditions.

The incident commander ordered them to evacuate due to the likeliness of imminent structural collapse, French said.

Medics transported the two rescued adults to an area hospital for evaluation.

Crews found a third adult later who was pronounced dead at the scene, French said. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity.

The home is a total loss. An emergency demolition has been completed.
