Company ‘shocked and saddened’ after deadly mass shooting at Ohio warehouse

NEW ALBANY — A company has released a statement after a deadly mass shooting in an Ohio warehouse Tuesday night.

As previously reported by News Center 7, police arrived at the warehouse around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday on reports of an active shooter situation.

Six people were found shot, one of which died from their injuries at the scene.

The other five victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment, where one later died.

Nick Whitley, CEO of KDC/One, released a statement Wednesday to our news partner WBNS TV in Columbus.

We are shocked and saddened by the tragic shooting that occurred on February 4 at our New Albany, Ohio facility. Our thoughts and prayers are with those impacted and their families. The safety and well-being of our employees is our top priority. We are actively assisting the New Albany Police Department in their ongoing investigation and are sincerely grateful for the swift action of our local authorities and first responders.”

KDC/One specializes in “beauty, personal care, and home care solutions,” according to its website.

Police confirmed all the victims, as well as Foster, were employees of the company.

The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Bruce Reginald Foster III, was arrested sometime after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at a home near the Short North Arts District in Columbus, WBNS said.

It came after a massive manhunt in central Ohio.

Licking County Common Pleas Court documents obtained by WBNS show Foster is charged with aggravated murder in connection to the shooting that happened at KDC/One Tuesday night.
