WILBERFORCE — Central State University let 20 employees go in an effort to lower costs, according to a press release from the university.

Of the 20 employees, 12 were full-time staff and eight were full-time faculty.

Central State University ‘implemented a reduction in force,’ due to financial challenges from fewer students enrolling and rising operational costs.
“This was not an easy decision, and we deeply value the contributions of all impacted employees,” said President Morakinyo A.O. Kuti, Ph.D. “Our priority remains supporting our Large fights cause temporary closure of downtown Dayton Metro Librarystudents and maintaining academic excellence as we navigate this difficult period.”
The university says that the affected employees will have access to assistance and resources through the university.
