DAYTON — An Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) trooper rescued a cat stranded in the snow on Interstate 75.

Trooper Thip Vongsy spotted the cat in the snow on Jan. 16.
He blocked traffic as he retrieved the cat, and dropped it off at the Dayton Post, according to a social media post.

The cat had minor injuries to its toes, the post says.
The cat was given fresh food and taken to the vet.
The cat is now named, “Thip-E-Toes,” after his rescuer, and has found a forever home, OSHP says.
“Big a-paws to Trooper Vongsy and AP1 Murray for their purrfect rescue!” OSHP said on its Facebook page.
