DARKE COUNTY — Two people were hospitalized after a serious crash in Darke County Tuesday morning.

As reported on News Center 7 Daybreak, sheriff’s deputies and medics responded at around 5:25 a.m. to reports of a crash on U.S. 36 and Westfall Road.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a Ford Fusion driven by 19-year-old Trevor Mardin of Greenville was heading eastbound on US Route 36.
An SUV driven by 34-year-old Jordan Wolfrey of Greenville was heading westbound on US 36.
The two vehicles crashed head on, according to a release from the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
Mardin was ejected from the car and was transported to Miami Valley Hospital.
His condition remains unknown at this time. Wolfrey was taken to Wayne Hospital with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
