DAYTON — UPDATE @4:35 a.m.
All lanes are closed on U.S. 35 Westbound after a shooting in Dayton Thursday morning.

Officers and medics responded just before 1 a.m. to U.S. 35 WB on initial reports of a shooting, according to a Dayton Police Sergeant.
Photos from the scene show that officers initially closed Westbound U.S. 35 at Steve Whalen Boulevard while they investigated the shooting. They reopened all lanes just after 3 a.m., but shut them down again just after 4:30 a.m.
ODOT cameras show officers have rerouted traffic from Westbound U.S. 35 to Steve Whalen Boulevard.
The sergeant told our News Center 7 crew at the scene that a car was traveling on U.S. 35 WB. The initial investigation indicates that another car passed him and shot the driver.
Medics transported the victim to Miami Valley Hospital with unknown injuries.
