CHAMPAIGN COUNTY — One person was hurt after a crash on U.S. 36 in Champaign County early Thursday morning.

Deputies and medics responded around 4 a.m. to the 13000 block of U.S. 36 on reports of a crash, according to dispatchers.

Initial scanner traffic indicated that a vehicle hit a utility pole.
Dispatchers told News Center 7 that medics transported one person to an area hospital. The crash has been cleared from the scene.
