DAYTON — Two people were arrested after leading officers on a chase and causing a crash in Dayton Thursday.
Around 6:30 p.m. officers were called to Valley View Drive and West Fairview Ave for reports of a vehicle stolen in an aggravated robbery, according to Lt. Steven Bauer with Dayton Police Department.
While attempting to find the victim, officers spotted the stolen vehicle.
When the suspect spotted police they sped off and “failed to obey several traffic laws, endangering the public,” police said.

The chase ended when the stolen car ran a red light and collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Philadelphia Drive and West Hillcrest Avenue.
The driver of the stolen car, identified by police as a 43-year-old man, was taken to an area hospital and then booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
The passenger of the stolen car, a 36-year-old woman, was also taken to an area hospital and arrested after she was released.
The driver of the car hit was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the 43-year-old had a gun he was not legally allowed to own and numerous warrants for his arrest.
The identity of the two arrested was not released by police.
